Lunch/Allergies
  • No peanut products are allowed at Summit View at any time. For whole school events, only foods determined to be safe will be provided.
  • Parents should include utensils, if necessary, when packing their child’s lunch. We do offer microwaves for student use, although, depending on how many students are using them, the wait time may be long.
  • Students ARE NOT permitted to order food to be delivered via any outside service such as Uber Eats without specific permission from administration.
  • Snack items, drinks and some lunch-type items can be purchased in the Student Store. Bagels are sold on Monday and pizza is sold on Fridays. Monthly order forms are sent out and also available through the main office.

Transportation

Dress code
  • No gloves, sunglasses, caps (hats) or hoods are permitted on campus unless given permission for outdoor activities
  • No open toe shoes, flip flops, shoes with wheels or bedroom slippers
  • No inappropriate writing, pictures or logos: (eg: weapons or violence, drugs or alcohol, sexual references).
  • No visible undergarments or exposed midriff
  • Bottoms must be worn at waist level 
  • No Strapless tops, spaghetti straps, tank tops, plunging necklines, see-through material or crop tops
  • No Excessively ripped clothes, especially jeans
  • No Pajamas
  • No valuable jewelry or clothing should be worn to school
  • Skirts and shorts must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee
  • Leggings / jeggings must be covered that falls mid-thigs
  • Head coverings are not permitted indoors except in the case of religious observance
  • Visible piercings are limited to ears and small nose studs only
  • Visible tattoos must be covered
  • Student hair color and style must not be considered to be a distraction
  • No earbud or headphones
  • Masks are encouraged but no longer required
  • Must have suitable footwear for PE class. Shoe that fit well (no crocks) and comfortable clothing that they can move around in.

Cell Phone/Electronics Policy:
  • Students are not allowed to use cellular phones or other electronic devices, including cameras, electronic games, computing devices, tablets, Kindles, headphones, earbuds, and smartwatches, on campus during normal school hours.
  • All prohibited devices must be turned off and stored upon arrival at school. Devices may NOT be used during class time, breaks, or lunch periods.
  • All electronic devices (including laptops) must be approved by admin personnel.
  • Certain websites are off limits at all times including games or noneducation sites.
  • During state and national assessments, students cannot use any unauthorized electronic devices at any time during the entire testing session.
  • While on campus, students must comply any time a request is made by school personnel to cease the use of a cellular phone and/or other electronic device.

  • Come to school on time, with your materials, ready to learn. 
  • Keep our school safe and clean, free from graffiti, weapons, and drugs. 
  • Take a stand against bullying by reporting any bullying or harassment. 
  • Be leaders and role moderls to help Summit View create a positive school environment. 
  • Solve conflicts maturely without harmful language or physical contact.
